Dr. Ron Fannin (family sciences) announced that one of the department's doctoral students, Mary Bold, was recognized for her outstanding student presentation during the annual conference of the National Council on Family Relations; the event was held Nov. 12 to 15 in Irvine, Calif. Bold received a certificate and an honorarium in recognition of the high quality of her work; her presentation addressed a method of teaching Judith Rich Harris' group socialization theory in undergraduate classes in family studies. Bold presented with Dr. Gladys Hildreth, former faculty member in the TWU department of family sciences who currently serves as chair of the department of family studies at the University of Kentucky. |
